Q: What is Dirt Pour Traveling Bar?
A: Dirt Pour is a traveling bar company that provides professional bartending services, with options to rent our darling, fully renovated horse trailer, or stationary bars!
Q: We want to purchase our own alcohol, is there a way to do that and have you serve it?
A: Sure! We call that a “borrow tender.” You purchase the alcohol, and have it on ice, in the location where we’ll be serving, and we will serve it! Be prepared to have lots of extra ice ready, it takes more than you think to keep things cold!
Q: Where are you allowed to serve? Can you serve at other venues?
A: Great question! Sometimes, yes! Some venues have in-house bar service, but if they don’t, you can just ask the owner or manager if they allow outside bar services! Some of our favorites in the area: Willow Barn (Danville, IL), The Gathering Place (Monticello, IL), Engelbrecht Farms (Paxton, IL), Tuscola Community Building, Monticello Community Building, Monarch Event Center (Monticello, IL), Carmons (Champaign, IL), Orpheum Theatre (Champaign, IL). We’re also happy to serve at private locations like backyards & family farms!
Q: When figuring the count for you, is it based on full RSVP count, or only those of drinking-age?
A: Everyone! If they’ve got a spot, they need to be in the count!
Q: Are you affiliated with a brick and mortar location?
A: We are! We are affiliated with a beautiful indoor wedding venue in Monticello, The Moore Building Ballroom
Q: What are the parking requirements for the bar trailer?
A: We need enough space to park a 17’ long, 9’ high horse trailer bar attached to a 17’ tow vehicle, and additional space to get the vehicle out. The serving window is on the drive side.
Q: Do you carry insurance?
A: We do! We carry 2 million dollars in a liquor liability policy.
Q: If we don’t need a bar, just bartenders, are there services for that too?
A: Of course! Pricing is done by the hour! We have a 2 bartender minimum so no one is alone, and recommend a bartender per 75-80 guests.
Q: Can you do a cash bar?
A: It depends on the event, let’s talk about it and we’ll see!
Q: How much does it cost to have Dirt Pour at my event?
A: Pricing depends on guest count, location and menu! Click here to submit your information and get a quote!
Q: Do you need power?
A: We do! Just one 3 prong outlet is enough for us to operate our handwashing sink. Don’t have power at your location? That’s okay! We rent our ultra-quiet generator for events if needed!
Q: Do you charge for travel?
A: The first 40 miles of total travel are free! From there, we charge $1.75/mile for the rest of our total travel
Q: What’s your policy on shots, ID’s, and cutting people off?
A: We don’t serve shots, or anything that is going to be taken like a shot. We will keep the drinks flowing, but we have to have some boundaries to keep your guests safe. We DO check ID’s - duh, it’s the law! Occasionally there will be a guest that needs to be cut off. It’s no fun, but we’ll take care of it. The safety of your guests is our priority.
